A little Vintage and a little Baseball Wedding of Jocelyn and Ryan

Jocelyn and Ryan were married on August 30th, 2013.
It was a hot day, I mean H.O.T.!

When I met with Jocelyn I was taken aback by the way she spoke of Ryan,
it was clear this love story is going to be a real life fairytale.

Ryan was a pitcher for the Adrian College baseball team.
Jocelyn wanted to throw in some baseball photos, so we did!

Jocelyn and Ryan are also youth ministers at their church so their faith
plays such an important role to each other.

The ceremony was held at Bethany Assembly

Jocelyn and Ryan met before the ceremony to have a private moment and prayer together.  BEAUTIFUL!

Thank you to the coaches at Adrian College for letting us use Ryan's home field advantage. ;)

This has to be one of my favorite photos!  So precious to have a little itsy bitsy spider going on :)

THE KISS!!!

The getaway!

The couple that sings together, it made me melt!

Beautiful!  No other words!

Congratulations to Jocelyn and Ryan on the first day of the rest of your lives!
I am looking forward to watching you grow old together while you sing, dance and play baseball together!

Pine Knob Masion Wedding of Jessica and Dan

Jessica and Daniel were married on August 2, 2013, a beautiful Friday evening.

Jessica happens to be my cousin, sooooo this Wedding is special to me on many levels.

I have memories of Jessica and I planning our weddings like all little girls do.
So, when Jessica called me to photograph her wedding, it was the best feeling!  I got the capture the first day of the rest of their lives together, for me, this was the greatest honor EVER!

The ceremony and reception were located at The Pine Knob Mansion
located in Clarkston, MI.

Jessica and Dan choose to meet before the ceremony and it was amazingly beautiful :)

I loved the girls and their matching shoes!

Yep, they really were this amazing all day :D

The first kiss!  One of my favorite moments!!  :)

Family Fun with Exercise

I, like many others, have struggled with my weight.
I grew up as a jock and played a lot of sports.
When I went to college, I stopped all of that activity and started gaining weight.
I had two babies, gained more weight.

As a woman, I know that I wanted to be healthy for my future self.

As a Mom, I knew that I needed to change my life so that I would be able to play and run with my kids.  I also know that I want my kids to learn what it is to make healthy food and lifestyle choices.

So I began!
I joined up with a few other ladies and we have gotten together and supported each other on this lifestyle journey together.  It has been amazing and these ladies have always had my back, pushed me to be the best me I can be, and we have run a few 5k's together.

While I have dropped 30lbs. the most important thing I have learned are the words I use around my two daughters.  My girls mimic everything I say and do!  I ask about calories, they ask.  I ask about sugar, they ask.  When I am trying on clothes, and say how huge or fat I look, they see they will say these same things too.

When my husband told me that our daughters are saying everything I say, I thought he was lying!
Then I heard and saw it with my own two eyes.  I knew I had to change how I see myself.

Things had to change!

So they did!

I no longer say how many calories are in foods.  Instead I comment on how healthy of a choice it is.  I have learned to love my body how it is and work hard to change it.

My girls have commented on how they want to do exercise with me.  I want to teach them how exercise is fun.

So, Run or DYE it is!

We went with two other Moms and their kids.

IT. WAS. AWESOME!

This is my oldest and her best friend!  They literally rolled in the powder :)
 Myself and my beautiful girls!

Rolling in their favorite color :)

We three Moms ROCKED this 5k!
 The BEFORE and AFTER!

The cleanup was a little bit exhausting, but we are all looking forward to doing it again!!  SOON!

Detroit Yacht Club Wedding of Melissa and Chris

Melissa and Chris were married on Saturday July 20, 2013 at the Detroit Yacht Club on Detroit's own Belle Isle.  The weather was exceptionally perfect, for a beautiful union :)

My absolute favorite part of this wedding was how much love was surrounding Melissa and Chris with friends and family.

Thank you Melissa and Chris for allowing me to capture the love you have for each other!

Now!  Party On!!

The lightening bolt was the earring of Melissa's late father.  Beautiful.

All of the wedding flowers were local to the Detroit area <3

The first dance ;)

The rings were made by the Bride and Groom!  To read how that all happened check out the Blog written by Chris!  :)

Sorry, I am a Detroit Lions fan, However, this cheese card holder was the bomb dot com!
Chris sang Melissa two songs that he wrote himself!  Yep, he is a great music man.

I think these two will have an amazing, fun, love filled marriage!
But, I am sure you would never have guessed that by this photo! ;)
